What is AcComP Track?

AcComP (Academic Communication Practices) Track is a graduate success program focused on continued support for graduate students to help them build capacity and succeed in the area of preparing high quality dissertations, theses, and creative components. AcComP engages students with diverse opportunities for advanced writing and speaking skills development from the start to the end of their graduate program. This support program maps specialized communication services with the requirements specified by the Graduate College. In that, it aligns with the stages of student progression toward their graduate degree and is tailored to the type of degree sought (master’s or doctoral). Participation in AcComP includes enrollment in one or more one-credit Graduate Studies (GR ST) courses that orient students to Graduate College and ISU resources, enabling them to make informed decisions as they engage in different stages in their progression to degree completion. Completion of one or more AcComP courses leads to certification at Associate, Fellow, or Scholar levels.
